Kingman Spyder Cup 2000

This is a promo video for Kingman’s Spyder Cup 2000 that I imported from a VHS I’ve had sitting around.

All players were required to use Kingman Spyder brand paintguns (not sure if hammer pumps and semis were allowed?). This was before E-Frames for spyders and leveled the playing field between pro and am for this tournament.

Here is a press release on Warpig about this game:
http://www.warpig.com/paintball/articles/pressreleases/spydercup.shtml

According to Warpigs press release:
“Spyder Cup 2000 will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 27th and 28th at Three River Paintball in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.”

The majority of spyders seen in this video are:
Spyder TL
Spyder Special Edition
Spyder Compact
Spyder Shutter
Spyder 2000
Spyder Classic

Although at 4:59 I do see a Micromag and a Minimag?

7:56 a flatline on a spyder?

Kapp Factory won this event and took home the grand prize of new Mustangs.

Arthur Chang, CEO of Kingman, introduces this event and there are interviews with various teams. Arthur’s motto was, “Play the ultimate without paying the ultimate price.”

Another highlight is the Steelers vs Steelers game
