Jim Lively comments that Charlene was in charge of registration for the events. Jim writes, “Could not have done it without them. Dale was one of four Ultimate Refs that worked all of our events. Charlene managed registration and customer service.”

The Mare Island Paintball banner is visible in the background. Located on Mare Island in Vallejo, California (next to Marine World), Mare Island Paintball hosted many events in the late 1980s and 90s and must have closed in the late 90s.

Dale was a referee at multiple Lively events. Not sure if he also played on any teams.

Ridgerunner player Rick Taylor comments, “They were from North Carolina.” And Rick continues that Dale was a “Ref at [the] Masters in 89.” Rick also remembers that “I believe it was 89 when Bart Farmer dropped trousers in front of Charlene and did a little dance because he was unhappy about some of the issues with lack of sportsmanship of a team that they had played.”
