TVL Automag featured in Paintball Mag 11/1995

“SPLASH
Seen at TVL, this Automag has an aluminum body, an Elite 45 grip, an Armson barrel, and a Unireg air regulator. Everything is Splash anodized in four colors. It’s a superb final piece.”
Thanks to Nicki Bacci for Translating.

T.V.L. automag close up

This is the only published photo I have seen of a “TVL Automag” and only the third TVL mag I have seen photos of.

I have read that other photos might have been published in Action Pursuit Games but I have never come across any.

I reshot this photo from the 1995 issue of “Paintball Mag,” a French publication, that Mike at Component Concepts, Inc. had in his magazine collection.

Mick Holdaway wrote me that T.V.L. sold some of his Colonial’s for his company, Simulated Actives:

“I made the Colonial here in the UK due to from John Sosta Promising me distribution of the Automag after i had spent time and money promoting it through my shops.
I then decided to manufacture it myself with changes such as an extruded 45 grip and other accessories as standard. The various anodizing patterns were our design and yes TVL sold some for us.
In all we made around 1000 guns but the main sales stream came from the accessorizes.”

The T.V.L. I own does not have the notch for the Z lock pin which leads me to believe they were originally constructed to use the Holdaway’s Colonial valves.

Does anyone know what T.V.L. stood for of have any more information on T.V.L. as a company? Or any more information on these beautiful mags? The pictured mag is totally decked out with a Euroframe, a unireg, an armson barrel, remote setup and a wild splash anodizing job.

And I apologize for not posting as much over the last week, I’ve been busy with some non paintball work and random site problems as well which were driving me crazy but I finally solved them. I’m caught up on all packages besides two which should be going out tomorrow.
Any questions please email me as usual.
Thanks everyone!
